Introduction: Older adults aged 65 and over are vulnerable to functional decline during hospitalization negative outcomes associated with immobility such as pressure injuries falls. Studies reveal that nurses overlook patient mobilization due competing priorities a lack of comfort mobilization. Hospital-associated can be mitigated through protocols. A 36-bed medical surgical unit in South Florida hospital did not have protocol for mobility.
